4-46. Are You A Christian?

Josh Brockman and Dustin Smith sit down and discuss how the Bible describes a Christ follower, and what Jesus says of those who follow Him. Today, there are many that profess the name of Jesus, and claim faith in Him. Why do some look different than the world? Why do some look just as the world? Should we discern these matters? While we don’t have the ability to decipher ones faith, we can look at what the Bible teaches about this subject where we can examine ourselves in light of scripture, and see what Christ’s word about His own say.
Our guideline today of the questions to be answered are as follows:
1.When you say you are a Christian, what does that mean?
2.What is the gospel, the good news?
3.What does it mean to “believe” in Jesus (God)?
4.On what basis do you make claim that you are reconciled to God?
5.What does Christ say His followers will look like in their daily life?
6.What do you seek daily, the world or things above?
7.What does Paul mean in 2 Corinthians 13:5 when he writes, “to test yourself to see if you are in the faith or do you know not this about yourself that Jesus Christ is in you?”
